Reviews
The article presents a systematic analysis of the data available in the current literature on cardiomyopathy of the fetuses in twin-totwin
transfusion syndrome (TTTS). The review included data of foreign and Russian papers on this topic which were published in the
last 10 years and found in Pubmed database. The current theories of the mechanism and diagnostics of cardiac dysfunction in TTTS.
Monochorionic twin pregnancy is associated with a high risk of complications for both mother and fetus. The aim of the integrated
approach of survey applied by National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology is to reduce maternal
and reproductive losses. It is necessary to conduct further studies aimed at investigating of the cardiac dysfunction in TTTS.
