Abstract
Tetralogy of Fallot (TF) is one of the most studied congenital heart disease, as evidenced by a large number of published works in both domestic and foreign literature.
The choice of surgical treatment tactics should take into account late complications, such as right ventricular dysfunction, pulmonary artery stenosis and pulmonary valve insufficiency, which can develop for decades in the future and directly affect the quality of life. Insufficiency of the pulmonary artery valve after TF correction, requiring intervention on the pulmonary artery valve, is one of the causes of right ventricular dysfunction, atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, leading to sudden cardiac death. The comparison of transannular plastic surgery with other types of the right ventricular outlet reconstruction, including transatrial-transpulmonary correction, should be considered extremely relevant at the present time, as well as the use of various types of operations aimed at preserving the function of the pulmonary artery valve, should be analyzed.
