Abstract
The results of hemodynamic correction in patients with a functionally single ventricle have improved significantly in recent years. At the same time, the number of women in fertile age who have undergone hemodynamic correction at an early age, who have lived to adulthood and are potentially able to become pregnant and give birth to a child is increasing. The number of publications consisting of descriptions of single cases of pregnancy and childbirth of this group of patients, as well as small groups with a history of pregnancy and childbirth after undergoing hemodynamic correction, has increased markedly. Cases of childbirth by women after bidirectional cavopulmonary anastomosis (DCPA) are extremely rare. We have identified only two cases of successful pregnancy in this group of patients. These cases are unique and demonstrate the possibility of getting pregnant and carrying a child in women with complex cyanotic congenital heart defect after previously performed DCPA.
