Abstract
We carried out clinicomorphologic analysis of heart rhabdomyoma in newborns. It was demonstrated that tumor has the shape of a node growing from left ventricle wall associating with mitral annulus obstruction. It results in early manifestation of heart failure signs. It was also observed that heart rhabdomyoma may associate with multiple congenital heart and vascular defects. We suppose that there is the same pathogenic mechanism for development of heart rhabdomyoma and developmental defects which is proved by peculiar connective-tissue reactions. It seems that the acquired data will be used for early life-time diagnosis and treatment of primary heart tumors associated with connective-tissue heart dysplasias.
