Abstract
Surgical results of 5 infants with aortopulmonary window combined with interrupted aortic arch were analyzed.
One stage aortic arch reconstruction and ligation of aortopulmonary window was established in 2
(40%) patients. One stage patch closure of aortopulmonary window and aortic arch reconstruction (type C of
interrupted aortic arch) with use of cardiopulmonary bypass and selective cerebral perfusion technique performed
in 1 (20%) case. In 2 (40%) patients aortic arch reconstruction (types A and B of interrupted aortic arch)
was the first stage of surgery. Subsequently aortopulmonary window was ligated in 1 and 7 days in both
cases. Mortality was 60%. Two (40%) patients died of infection and acute cardiac failure caused another one
(20%) death.
