Abstract
The results of diagnostics and treatment of two patients with moyamoya disease are presented in this article.
Literature data about this disease are outlined. This disease is considered to be an idiopathic arteriopathy involving
bilateral carotid, anterior, middle and posterior cerebral arteries. This pathology in children is associated with
infarction and ischemic stroke and in adults - with hemorrhagic stroke.
The questions of etiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentations, diagnostic algorithm, differential diagnostics, indications
for conservative and surgical treatment are discussed in this article.
