Abstract
Development of regurgitation on the mitral valve of ischemic origin when the left coronary artery anomalously originates from the pulmonary
artery (Bland - White - Garland syndrome) represent a potential target for surgical interventions while correcting the main malformation.
According to literature sources the approaches for resolving this problem differ. The need for surgical intervention on mitral valve is defined
by the patient's condition as for the main malformation, patient's age as well as changes in the valve structures and extent of mitral regurgitation.
The article has generalized the experience of the A.N. Bakoulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery of Russian Academy of
Medical Sciences relating to surgical treatment of the challenging coronary malformation in combination with manifested mitral valve dysfunction.
