Abstract
Endovascular closure of septal defects, in particular atrial septal defect, is widespread now. At the same time with the
unjustified expansion of indications the endovascular closure of atrial septal defect can be accompanied by the heart
rhythm failure, thrombosis or dislocation of occluder, bedsore of the aortic root or the atrial wall as well as incomplete
closure of defect with the marked arterial-venous shunt.
Two cases have been reported relating to removal of occluder of atrial septal defect in patients with exceeding indications
for endovascular treatment of this defect.
