Abstract
One of the techniques of surgical treatment of the pulmonary artery atresia with ventricular septal defect in combination with major aortopulmonary
collateral arteries is the unifocalisation of the pulmonary circulation. This technique is used for both staged treatment and
synchronous radical repair. The meaning of the operation for unifocalisation of pulmonary circulation is in grouping together of true pulmonary
and collateral arteries into one system by help of vascular anastomoses with the purpose of uniting the maximum number of bronchopulmonary
segments into the pulmonary circulation. The present work describes the operation for unifocalisation of the pulmonary circulation
of the right lung after repair of the right ventricular outflow tract performed earlier without plasty of ventricular septal defect in the
condition of the pulmonary artery atresia of 1st type (according to Somerville J).
