Abstract
Transposition of the great vessels is a congenital heart defect with the presence of discordance of the ventricular-arterial communication
while the other heart segments communicate with concordance. Transposition of the great vessels is a prevailing defect and refers to the critical
one of the neonatal period. According to different authors the defect frequency made up 7-15 % of all congenital heart defects. The clinical
case of the successful surgical treatment of congenital heart defect has been reported.
