Abstract
Introduce. Examination of incidence and structure of congenital heart disease (CHD) is an actual problem of modern medicine.
Material and methods. To solve the problem of studying the prevalence and structure of CHD in the Volgograd region, were analyzed literary sources and official statistics.
Results. The dynamics of indicators of general and primary CHD morbidity in children and adults in the Russian Federation and the Volgograd region. Analysis of the structure of CHD in the Volgograd region.
Conclusion. On the basis of the received results, in order to optimize cardiac surgical care in the Volgograd region, it is necessary to introduce a regional register of CHD, followed by monitoring of this disease.
