Abstract
Heart dysrhythmia is a frequent clinical situation in newborns, emerging during the first few days of life. It is often observed as a sep- arate form of pathology. Most frequent type of abnormal heart rates is supraventricular tachycardia. This article discusses cases when electroimpulse therapy was used in newborns and infants. Our experience demonstrates the effectiveness and safe use of cardiover- sion for treatment of tachycardia in infants which allows in the majority of cases to restore the sinus rhythm without subsequent recidi- vism of arrhythmia and prolong prophylactic therapy.
