Abstract
Pulmonary artery sling is a rare congenital vascular anomaly, in which an anomalous left pulmonary artery arises from the right pulmonary artery. Malformation is often associated with congenital stenosis of the trachea and/or bronchi. Pulmonary artery sling in
30-50% of cases associated with other congenital heart defects, the most common of these defects in the atrial and ventricular septal
partition, patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), tetralogy of Fallot and a left superior vena cava (LSVC). We present four cases of surgical correction of anomalous origin of the left pulmonary artery from the right pulmonary artery in combination with tracheal stenosis
in early age children.
