Abstract
А clinical case of successful radical correction of tetralogy of Fallot with anomalous anterior descending artery originating from the
right coronary artery, after palliative treatment – i.e. stenting of the right ventricular outflow tract, is presented in the article. This pathology occurs in 5% of cases. Until now it was considered that the anomaly of the anterior descending coronary artery is a contraindication
for radical correction of tetralogy of Fallot, therefore these patients underwent only palliative correction of the defect.
With the development of surgical techniques for radical correction of this pathology and anomalous artery bypass venous graft was
used. However, currently radical correction is performed with preservation of the anomalous anterior descending coronary artery,
while the commonly used ventriculotomy is being modified.
