Abstract
Pulmonary artery stenosis and aortic recoarctation are the most frequent long-term complications after the arterial switch operation requiring surgical intervention. Enlargement of narrowed pulmonary artery branches by using separate patches is the main surgical approach during both primary and secondary operations. In this article we present a case report on a new method of surgical correction of right ventricle outflow tract obstruction associated with pulmonary artery bifurcation and proximal pulmonary arteries’ stenosis by using a T-shaped xenopericardial monocusp patch in a patient after arterial switch operation.
