Abstract
Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is a rare and complex congenital heart disease. Without surgical treatment it has a high mortality especially in the neonatal period. Hybrid stenting of patent ductus arteriosus in patients with hypoplastic left heart syndrome is considered as alternative to Norwood procedure. Restrictive or intact atrial septum after hybrid procedure has a bad prognosis because of the disability to perform balloon atrial septostomy or Rushkind's procedure. This article presents a successful case of stenting restrictive atrial septum in a 3-month-old patient with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, after hybrid stenting of patent ductus arteriosus and banding right and left pulmonary arteries.
