Abstract
The main Taussig–Bing anomaly’s characteristics include subpulmonary defect, biventricular origin of the pulmonary artery and rightward deviation of the conal septum, thus beeing considered as an anomaly with anterolateral conal septum deviation. Many investigators point out similarities between Taussig–Bing anomaly and transposition of the great arteries with subpulmonary defect or with so-called «false» Taussig–Bing. The great challenge in distinguish these anomalies bases on the fact that both of them include conoventricular subpulmonary and as well as they are considered to be similar in embryological and anatomical terms. In this report, we describe anatomical comparison between Taussig–Bing anomaly and transposition of the great arteries using morphometric method to reveal their main morphological differences.
