Abstract
Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) is a rare congenital heart defect characterized by an abnormal drainage of all pulmonary veins to systemic venous circulation. In most cases, pulmonary veins drain into superior vena cava, inferior vena cava or right atrium. Cases when pulmonary veins drain into different parts of the heart are rare. In this article we demonstrate a rare case of successful repair of mixed total anomalous pulmonary venous connection in a 2 month old child with infantile scimitar syndrome.
