Abstract
The lobe resection of lung in infant with congential heart defects is extremely rare. In our experience (case) we have faced with such complication
as lung infarction for the first time. The decision for lung lobe resection has been approved during the operation, because of
expressed destructive changes of lung tissue and massive blood imbibition of the lower lobe with degradation marks in particular. The ethiology
of this severe complication is not exactly opened. The reason of it presumably is tromboembolia of lover lobe of the lung in early
postoperative period after coarctation of the aorta resection using left posterolateral thoracotomy approach.
