Abstract
One of the most difficult defects in pediatric cardiac surgery is the transposition of the great arteries in combination with a ventricular septum defect and stenosis of the outflow tract of the left ventricle. Currently, several techniques are used to correct this pathology: Rastelli, REV (Lecompte), Nikaidoh and truncal rotation operations. In our clinic, preference is given to the Nikaidoh method. This is due to good immediate and long-term results, regardless of the size and localization of ventricular septal defect, the "anatomical" position of the great arteries, the possibility of implantation of the conduit "for growth" without the risk of inflection and compression of the sternum. On two clinical observations, we demonstrate the effectiveness of this technique and good immediate and long-term results. In these clinical cases, our center for the first time had the opportunity to perform a classic Nikaidoh operation without cutting of the coronary arteries.
