Abstract
This case report describes a successful hybrid closure of a long-standing persistent fistula between the pulmonary vein collector and the portal vein in a patient during the long-term follow-up after the complete repair of the infracardiac form of total anomalous pulmonary venous return with an anomaly in the development of the inferior vena cava (IVC). The procedure was carried out in two stages. Initially, a resternotomy was performed with a puncture of the free wall of the right atrium in the area of the IVC inflow. The second stage involved a transseptal puncture, followed by pressure assessment in the left atrium (LA) and the pulmonary vein collector. After occluding the collector with a balloon catheter, no increase in LA pressure was observed. The collector was closed with an Amplatzer© Vascular Plug II (16 mm) occluder.
