Abstract
Scimitar syndrome is a congenital heart disease characterized by complete or partial anomalous drainage of the pulmonary veins into the systemic venous blood flow, and combined with pulmonary involvement. In the world literature, single observations of this condition have been described, and the lack of complete classification leads to errors in diagnosis and differences in terminology and description of the disease. This report describes a case of surgical treatment of a rare form of scimitar syndrome with partial anomalous drainage of right pulmonary veins into the right atrium and intact atrial septum.
