Abstract
A clinical case of a 5-year-old child with a delaminating mycotic aneurysm of the aortic arch is presented. Mycotic aneurysm is an infectious aneurysm that develops due to septic embolism of the arteries. This disease is an extremely rare pathology not only for children, but also for adults. In the described clinical case, the symptoms were non-specific. In the course of dynamic observation against the background of combined antibacterial therapy, negative dynamics was noted. When performing a control CT angiography, an increase in the size of the aortic aneurysm and its dissection were revealed. Emergency cardiac surgical treatment was performed: aneurysm excision, aortic plastic surgery using a flap of the aortic homograph. A reliable etiological factor has not been established. Catamnestically, no recurrence of aneurysm, stenosis of the aortic arch plastic site was detected during control echo, CT studies.
