Abstract
The paper is dedicated to the problem of information support of families with CHD on every stage of treatment and follow-up of a child. The project is of social orientation and its final objective is improvement of life quality of children with congenital heart defects. Limited awareness of the population about the problems of CHD treatment results in delay of the terms of beginning treatment and life quality of patients in future. Necessity of the project realization was inspired by extreme limitation and occasionally by the lack of available information about the problems of CHD treatment in children for the population of Russian Federation. With this end in view there was established Hot line Heart of the child for internet-consultations on the site of the A.N. Bakoulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery of RAMS. Hot line primarily personifies the contacts of patients, their parents and curators with congenital defects specialists; Hot line consultations will allow all those concerned to get answers to the questions associated with CHD. With this purpose it is proposed to establish a school for the parents of children with congenital heart defects in which it is supposed to held lecture and practical lessons on anatomy and physiology of CHD, methods of treatment, peculiarities of care, growth and development of children with CHD before and after surgery as well as psychological support of parents, cover medico-legal aspects of treatment.
