Abstract
We analyzed hospital period of 90 patients who underwent Fontan operation in extracardiac conduit modification. It was observed that hospital period was without complications in 49% patients and with complications in 51%. We analyzed the prevalence and structure of hospital complications, presented the range of treatment and treatment results. The acquired data indicates that the main hospital complication after Fontan operation in extracardiac conduit modification is circulatory failure. In 43.5% patients hemodynamic reasons for circulatory failure were large aorta-pulmonary collateral arteries, pulmonary artery, inferior vena cava and conduit stenosis. Using adequate medical treatment as well as surgical and endovascular methods the effect was achieved in 95% patients.
