Abstract
Despite of significant progress in immediate results of biventricular repair of common atrioventricular septal defect (CAVSD), some
patients develop late complications that require repeat surgical correction. Secondary subaortic stenosis during from 1 to 13 years
after complete repair of common atrioventricular septal defect rises up to 7%. In this paper the case of successful experience of the
subaortic stenosis incision with simultaneous supra-annular mitral valve replacement in 12 years after previous complete correction
of CAVSD is described. The hypertrophy of the interventricular septum and bulging of the mitral valve anterior leaflet in subaortic
space due to its abnormally chords attachment were the causes of subaortic obstruction in this case.
