Abstract
The right method of surgical correction of pulmonary atresia is a one-stage radical correction. With good development of pulmonary vessels, closed ventricular septal defect doesn't lead to high residual pressure in the right ventricle and the development of severe circulatory failure. But in most cases there is an initial severity of the patient's condition caused by arterial hypoxemia, hypoplasia of the pulmonary artery system, the presence of various types of blood supply to the lungs and multiple collaterals. In this patients surgical tactics is ambiguous. This paper is a review of modern russians and foreign literature, reflecting the problem of restoring blood flow in the pulmonary arteries to stimulate the growth of the latter to prepare children for the next stage of surgical treatment. There are also sources that reveal the historical aspect of the issue. Much attention is paid to the issue of creating various types of systemicpulmonary anastomoses forexample melbourne shunt and modern world experience of using this anastomosis.
