Abstract
Atrial septal defect is one of the most frequent congenital heart defects. With the development of cardiac surgery the closure of atrial septal defects is increasingly performed by the endovascular approach. One of the rare but most serious complications after occluder implantation is the development of erosion. The article presents a case of an erosive complication after endovascular closure of atrial septal defect in a years old child developed on the third day after occluder implantation complicated by cardiac tamponade.
